: I was wondering if anyone knew anything about the Stinking Goddess, i've heard they can get 4-6 possibly 7 feet long, have very strong anal glands and can eat mice, rats, birds, and eggs, but that's it. Does anyone have one or know if they're good pets or how well known they're known in the pet trade.

Hello
I've found them to be alot of fun to work with but can be quite obnoxious if they want to be. I have a 7foot normal male that is tame as can be. My albinos that are original imports are flighty and quick to musk, but are not bad about bitting.
I have 1 imprt female that i've had for 7years that is an absolute pain to deal with but a good breeder, so they vary quite abit.
they have a huge appetite and a quick metabolisum.I sold off my spilote colony to deal with thier appetites since thats to many big eaters to deal with.I feed mine mainly rodents and chicks. I keep mine in naturalistic cageing with plenty of hide areas and mist them when shedding or breeding.Any thing else let me know,
Rob Z
