I have two adult everglades together in a 55 gallon and never sexed them before but noticed that one stopped eating although the girth is larger than usual. The snakes also separated from eachother and the larger now sits on the other end and the wider one I suspect may be gravid is alone under a log. The snake has lost the slender look and looks a bit fat. Do they typically stop eating when gravid because I cannot figure why she did not pluck a mouse like she usually does? She refused a meal which is very untypical of this snake. Should I now separate her from the rest until after she lays eggs? I never probed them so I am not sure that the snake is even a female. Thanks.
