: Hello,
: Two days ago, I captured a black ratsnake.
Today I let it go. It was about 3-4 feet long.
Do captive born black rat snakes make good pets?
I've kept cornsnakes, but I've heard that black
ratsnakes are a bit more nervous/jumpy. Would the
bite of a 4 foot black ratsnake be that painful?
: Thanks for any help,
: kevin
I have had my black rat (BR) for 6 years now when i got it he was 3.5 feet long.My BR is CB he is also a very hardy eater, heis alittle funny when you go to take him ou but once he is out he is very freindly. he is nown 6ft 3inches long a still very strong and healthy.
