: I have been wondering for a very long time why Fox snakes are not
: offered for sale by breeders and dealers. I would appreciate
: any answers. I just do not understand why they are unpopular.
Dunno- maybe because they aren't gaudy, or huge, or the morph-of-the-month? My adult Eastern Fox is a constant source of entertainment to us. When we wound up with 'pinkie parts' left over from feeding some tiny snakes, my Fox (small for his age) would delicately take pieces of pinky from my wife's fingers like you'd give a cat a treat! Try THAT with your Burmese python... or any other snake I've ever heard of. There are a few dealers that breed Fox snakes both Eastern & Western, but the fact that they don't develop color for a year or so may influence the usually very low price. Baffling....
