i put him in w/ a very large female everglade rat that had just shed the other day, while i cleaned his box. she's in a 6' tall aboreal tank w/ some other rat snakes. he immediantly spotted her up at the top and shot out of my hands straight towards her! when he got there, he didn't seem to know where she began and ended. he looked around for a while and then just snapped out! he's been trying every and anything but right now she's too much woman for him. he's resorted to chasing her around at top speed, occasionally throwing his tail at her like he's trying to rein her in! she ducked into a hidebox, he followed, and now that is in shambles as there WERE other snakes in there. now they're on the floor of the tank and she's slowing down. it looks like tex might score after all. i think she's winded. i never saw her move like that before! they were flying around. knocking branches, scaring the cats. wow. i guess the lesson here for us guys is, if she continues to out run you, throw your tail at her. worked like a charm for tex. and all these years i've been throwing money, boy do i feel dumb!
