As far as "cooler side" goes, I keep mine in the same room that I keep pythons and pituophis. I tried keeping them cooler (70-80) and they didnt seem to mind it, but when I moved them into the 80-85 area, they did much better.
To briefly describe them, they are awesome.
Hope you find some that meet your expectations
(I havent ever seen one that didnt impress me)
