In Reply to: Transpecos still not eating, HELP!.... posted by sue on March 08, 2001 at 09:37:04:
I've always had success feeding green tree frogs to ratsnakes when they wouldn't eat, but I'd try another live pinkie first.
: I have tried raising her temps to 85 warm side, feeding her a tiny pinkie, depriving her of water for 4-5 days, feeding at night, tease feeding, no handling for a week, even opening her mouth and putting the pinkie in a bit at a time with no success (she spit it out as soon as I put her down). I have not tried feeding live yet. She has
a cork hide log which goes from cool to warm side and a climbing tree. I am getting desperate here. The last time she ate was on Feb. 12 and she regurged one of the pinkies a week later. I figured that she couldn't handle two pinkies at a feeding then, although she had eaten two pinkies three times previously. Any other suggestions. I am afraid that she is going to starve to death and I don't want that to happen! Should I raise her temp to 90 on the warm side? She is only in a 10 gallon tank right now.
