You can house anything together but are you willing to sacrifice the animals needed space requirements to suite your needs, or the animals needs. Since they are not babies, if you feed them well, there is minimal chance of them eating each other, however small hungry bull snakes will eat their own brothers. Also, the rat snake comes from a humid environment and the bull snake from an arid environment, so you will be taxing one or the other snakes humidity requirements. Also, they may coil together, and they may feed side by side without no problems because you cannot really tell how they are feeling about being locked up with eachother. If this is all you have for housing, I would observe their behavior in the evening and if they behave constantly as if they want out, then maybe separate them again. Maybe a shelf can be made for the yellow rat to live, and you can spray that every three days to provide the extra moisture they need. I would not do if it if I had another tank, but good luck.
