Well, we are tracking the hurricane again,hoping it won't cross over into the gulf.Couldn't email because my son deleted yours accidentally!Please send again.Much misery over on Field Collectors forum;I feel for the West Coast herpers.Sure am glad I can collect on my own place without drowning in the ethics hell-pool.Wanted to report that the big gray wc rat was willing to quickly strike and swallow the introduced mouse with nothing gruesome or prolonged for which I was grateful.Since this next step is accomplished I will soon try introducing the frozen thawed mice.If these are accepted I can then order a supply.I can only attribute the snake's progress to it's size and maturity,prior experience with swallowing eggs and rodents,plus a quiet and secluded,warm snake room with low lighting at feeding time.
