50 dorsal markings is a bit high for grey ratsnakes which usually have 25 to 35 dorsal markings usually slightly H shaped (mine have around 30). A grey ratsnake should have a light grey to light brown ground color with darker blothces on the back. They also have no distinct head or ventral markings (sometimes a dark line from the eye to the angle of the jaw). If it doesn't fit this description I'd need a better description or a photo to identify it for you. Your cage setup sounds fine.
