They do dink readily from water bowls but will drink off their bodies when misted as well. Growth rate isn't as rapid as say, Taiwans. My 9' pair are 8 years old but I've never stuffed them. I imagine they'll grow in proportion to how much you feed them.
I also have a younger male That has grown a foot or so in a year - eating two large mice every 12 - 14 days. Between the Spilotes, Cribos, Taiwans, and Red Tailed Green Rats my rodent colony just can't produce enough to be able to stuff them! Not to mention all the smaller stuff I've got that eats much smaller mice. Going to augment by buying bulk frozen adults to get everything fattened up prior to cooling. Good luck - Bill
