Mine were pretty much problem-free. They ate great, grew fast, and reproduced readily. As far as shedding, I would mist them periodically, but about an hour before they started to shed they would always soak in their water bowl and then shed problem-free; Every time! What more could you ask for?

: I know Vivarium ran an article on them before it's untimely demise, and Reptiles may have done a piece on them, but I cannot remember for sure.
: I know of no care sheets on the species.
: I have a trio of Blue Beauties. Their care is straight forward, pretty much like any other colubrid. I have found that their humidity requirements are higher than for most snakes, especially during shedding. This would probably be why you heard they lay under moist mulch alot. They are very similar to E. radiata in this respect.
: I keep them the same way I keep my radiateds, and at a higher humidity than the taiwan beauties require. Incomplete sheds are a constant problem if the humidity is not monitored. I put a few pieces of damp newspaper in the cage once I notice one going opaque.
: They are a beautiful species, with a good temperment, and mine behave just like my taiwans.
