What temps do you brumate them at?

: Zak, I'd keep them in hibernation a little longer, if possible. If they are old enough, they will probably breed. It's difficult to see Amurs breeding. They have fairly large eggs, bigger than corns, and they hatch in about 55 to 60 days, I believe.

: I got a female on loan last year in Dec. and brumated her until about March (3 months). I had to take my male out because he'd been in like 5 months. I got 18 eggs, and the babies are great, and were growing like weeds until about a week ago when I cooled them. I just want to cycle them a little to get used to my timing. When adults they have to hibernate for at least 2 to 4 months.

: : Hello,

: : I just purchased a pair of Russian Rat Snakes at the Columbus Ohio show on the 27. I was wondering if you have had any experience breeding this species. The breeder i bought them off of said he had just finished cycling them. Are they difficult to reproduce in captivity? I have heard that they have large eggs and a relatively short incubation period.

: : thanks,

: : Zac
