We all well know that death adders, pygmy rattlers, copperheads and cottonmouths will wiggle their tails to attract small predators as food items.
Well today we found about 5 green anoles and threw them in for our tank of baby Everglades Ratsnakes. Almost immediately one baby started wiggling its tail while partially hidden under some scraps of bark. No mistakes! It was not vibrating! It was not "just moving"! He was doing it perfectly!
I didn't know ratsnakes did this, but I've noticed this batch to be particularly fond of lizard prey. Has anyone noticed this among any other obsoletas?
