I have noticed some strange TX rats being sold sporadically at expos that seem to have no common label. They are sometimes called amels and sometimes hypos. They are much different in appearance compared to what I consider to be a T- amel athough I have not done or know of anyone who has done any legitimate scientific research on the more common amel tx rat to prove the more common amel is a T-. Perhaps these are a T+ or a hypo. Either way, they are a very striking animal having a grayish head and a mottled purple, pink, and pastel orange-tangerine coloration the entire length of their bodies. Most of the vendors offering them seem pretty confused themselves as the what these guys are. It may be possible these guys don't realize what they have? If some smart person could breed this trait into the orange phase...... Anyway, has anyone else noticed these strange alluring creatures?
