Tiger Rats (Spilotes Pullatus) as an earlier contributor to this thread noted are the way to go! Most are wc imports to date but are extremely hardy snakes regardless - much more forgiving than some of the imported Asians out there! They'll need to be deparasitized of course. The wide variety of coloration and patterns, coupled w/their impressive size make them awsome display animals. I have a trio that are close to 10' and are as tame as a corn snake. Imports are almost always "nasty" but they are more on bluff displays than biting - and when they do strike it seems to be more of a "get the hell away from me" type of hit. Even then, they tame down pretty quickly. One note of caution - they are voracious feeders - I've never, ever, seen a snake consume a mouse so fast in my life - from strike to gullet in 30 seconds - and they'll eat live mice the same way if offered w/no regard for the chewing the mouse is doing on its way down - hence I fed all mine thawed from tongs. Bill
