I would suggest you look into the Asian Rats, particularly Taiwan Beauties.
These are quite large ratsnakes and are very hardy. Average adult size is around 8 feet.
They are a very nice looking snake, and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with them.
Blue Beauties are another nice asian I have had the pleasure of keeping, and they are only slightly more difficult to keep in my experience, but not enough as to make a difference to someone who has basic knowledge of keeping snakes.
