I only have a single specimen at the moment, but she invaribly goes through her defensive display every time I reach into the cage.
She rears up, spreads her neck, and gapes her mouth. This is followed by quick multiple strikes.
Once I have managed to gain hold of her she normally stops trying to bite and just concentrates on trying to get away.
