Could be mites if that is what your supposing. In any case, see if you can manage to touch one of the black spots with the end of a paper clip and see if it moves or better, if it is removable, sorta softly pick it up with the paper clip and put in on your finger to see if it moves. If it is a mite, then throw away out all the substrate in your tank. Take a cotton ball and rub with a small amount of baby oil and rub this on your snake to cover all the parts of the snake except his face area above the neck. Remember to use it lightly. Then use anothe cotton ball and warm water to rince the baby oil off. Clean his house with the hose at high pressure and put him in there with just fresh newspaper for a week. Check again for mites, and they should be gone. If they were mites, I suggest you remove the one near the mouth with the end of the paper clip. Do not injure the snake to do this. If they are impeded, then see if a small dap of baby oil on a cotton ball removes or kill the mite and be sure to never put any oil on the snakes section above the head and use the oil very sparingly. That is the quick way to help with removing the mites from one infected snake. If you think you have an overwhelming issue, then research some products or other methods to rid your house of the mites. Good luck.
