Patrick - I have to agree that 'Tiger Rat' is a far more impressive name than 'Tropical Chicken Snake' which makes them sound like a cowardly sort of beast!
Cheers for the info, Bill - There is someone over here captive breeding them so I hope to get some CB babies and get them tame. My Taiwans were actually a rescue pair that got a bit big for the oweners, both are well over seven feet. This being the case I expected them to be fairly evil tempered as they hadn't seen human hand for a while but, as snakes will always do, they surprised me by being very mellow and tame - except at feeding time obviously.
I shall definitely be investing in some Tiger Rats as they sound like interesting snakes with a bit of life.
