Hi Mike
We tried importing 100 mandarinas to Denmark. Our goal was to keep at least a few alive to breed them. We have quite a few here but they all originate from my old pair.7 breeders was working on this but all mandarinas died especially from stress and dehydration combined.
My old pair was imported 1981 and they were nothing but problems for many years. In 1990 they started to behave like real snakes and I finally bred them. This old pair is still breeding ( I have eggs right now). 18 years in captivity and they were adults when I got them. I have them in F3 now and I would say. Try CB`s in stead It gives very few problems and they can breed after only 3-4 years.
Good luck
Søe
