I also just moved w/ my blue beauties (the adult pair & 6 of their offspring....along with all the other snakes) and had no problems at all. They just rode in their respective tanks (well padded) in the pickup bed (it has a topper). They all ate the day after arriving.

Maybe snakes are like people, different individuals have different tolerances? I admit I have noted VERY distinct personalities between ours. I could tell which was which of ours just by their reaction to any given stimulus.

Sorry to hear about your loss, I know how attached we can get to these guys.
