Need help....suboc has a mouth infection

My male suboc has a mouth infection and I am going to the Vets tomorrow but was wondering if hydrogen peroxide is too powerful for him in the mean time. I was able to ease a little of the puss out of the gum...yuck....but I'm not exactly sure why this happened. He never bites and I only assume he lost a tooth while eating and now its infected. Any suggestions?
