The difference between a "lavendar" amel and a regular amel is the prescence of a chemical called tyrosinaize, hence the phrase "tyrosinaize postive" or the opposite "tyrosinaize negative". I'm assuming I have the spelling of "tyrosinaize" correct. I hope that helps. The difference is quite striking in most snakes that occur in both morphs.
