Patrick i beleave your right about the Rossalleni being the everglades.I looked at the book again (A Beginners Guide To Snakes by IraNowinsky,copyright 1986)The pic shows a baby light tan with a little bit darker blotches .Its says under the pic "The "rossalleni" phase of the black rat snake,Elaphe obsoleta,is a florida form that does well in captivity and can bred."
I guess i should have put two and two together :)
Back on to the Brindles,how can you tell if a hatchling is brindle? Do they look like a normal black rat baby? And,anyone know who sells them?
