Well, Soe has raised very many of these, so he's pretty much the expert, but I do have observations on my pair. I would experiment to see what size pink they can handle, then give them one or two every two weeks, or so, til you get a feel for what they can handle without getting too fat. Mandarins seem to process slowly. My female just pooped last night after eating about 5 days before that. She hadn't eaten in about two weeks, so I'll probably give her another small fuzzy soon.

Like Soe said, it depends somewhat what climate you have in your area too. I live in Northern Michigan, so it's fairly cool. In summer the temp. rarely gets above 80*F. in the day. At night it rarely gets as low as 70* (in the Herp Room). I think these are pretty ideal temps for mandarina. It also varies somewhat with the season, as does the humidity. The last week or two the heat has come on a little and the humidity has dropped to 50%(+). They are still eating though, as I mentioned. I expect them to eat until December. Also I didn't have any problems with them eating during the summer under these conditions.

Good luck, TC.
