I stubbled upon a nest of snakes in my compost pit living it the soil. I found the egg shells and 1 dead and 4 very alive hatchlings... If they are copperheads I would like to relocate them, and if they are balck rats or another type of snake I might want to capture one. They are banded with light and dark gray. They have gray heads with black horizontal bands near there underside. Their bellies are white with a few bands from their topside shading their bellies. If anyone could identify these without me having a picture I would greatly appreciate it.
