I too have had stubborn hatchlings when it came to their first meals. I lucked into a trick that gets them all to eat..I individually place them in a 5 gal. tank covered in fake plants. I then place a split brained pinky UP IN THE BRANCHES/LEAVES and w/in two hours they all fed. To this day all of these stubborn snakes refuse live prey but will now take prekilled (and no longer split brained) mice if left off of the ground. None will take prey if left on the ground floor of the cage. This is odd as their clutch-mates follow me around the room when hungry and pound mice as soon as they hit the floor of the cage.
