Egyptian Rat Snake

Guys-

Has anyone ever heard of the Egyptian Rat Snake? I just purchased one yesterday, I have never heard of it and I cannot find anything on it via the internet. In the store it was very docile when handled...but now it is very fast and flips around if you try to touch it. Please help me...I am a first time snake owner. I would love your help.
