If you weren't real familiar with spilotes you wouldn't go near it, it almost looks like a mamba but yellow. Everything about these snakes is strange. They have very large, keeled scales. They flick their tongues in almost slow motion and will flatten vertically when threatened. They also consume food so fast, like someone is going to take it away. They are strong, fast and can really extend themselves for distance. Just something a little different for those of you on the forum that aren't familiar with the species.
