Hey Sacha - We've discussed this before but for others in the forum. If temperatures are carefully and reliably controlled you may be ok. I've heard horror stories of people killing animals in refrigerators. Propping the door open is a good idea as suggested above - but would seems like a waste of energy and you still need to keep the animals in the dark.
I use a box about 4'x4'x6' and heavily lined with home insulation in my garage. I cool it with a window style air conditioner. My particular air conditioner doesn't get as cold as I would like but if you have to go by a refrigerator or another type of cooler this may be an alternative.
It was even hotter here in south FL - lets hope next winter is more normal.
By the way - I hatched one baby from my situla/hohenackeri cross that appeared to be a hybrid - but then died due to complications from tearing from the egg prematurely.
