That's news to me. Can you give me a statute section to reference that to?
I was aware of the "Special Concern Tag" but as far as endangered or protected status they are not. I know this was a topic of change last January, but I have yet to have seen any legal announcements of it.
Also, you MAY legally own Timber Rattlers in Wisconsin, but it cannot be native captured after April 1998. Owners bear the burden of proof regarding it's origin.
The reason I bring that up, is that I would assume that legally produced Black Ratsnakes outside of Wisconsin, would still be allowed outside of this possession.
Post the statute change please, as this may also apply to Bull Snakes, and Racers.
