Very few people are working with hohenackeri because there are very few inside the hobby. They should be kept like situla but a little cooler. I found them on south facing slopes in a very high altitude. The biotop was rocky and very dry. Keeping them (if the animals are cb) is like situla, but they often refuse to eat especially in the summertime. Mine eats only in the Spring and sometimes a little in the Autum. I hibernate mine for 4-6 months at about 5-8*C. Previously I never had any copulations maybe due to a shorter and warmer hibernation, but this year the copulated several times but unfortunately no eggs.
The babies are like the adults and feeds on pinckies. They are slow growing and also takes long brakes in there eating habits.
I have worked with them for more than 10 years and haven`t had any juveniles yet, but at least this year I had copulations ....... Maybe next year.
Best wishes
Søe
