Your description is pretty good, Ray. They are docile and tend to be somewhat nervous, but are much easier than the more southerly forms of the species. Usually handling calms animals down and I think these guys are similar. Mine seem calmer when I handle them more often, like at least once a week.
I don't know too many people who breed them now that Lloyd Lemke is gone. I think Mulligan's Snakery (Bill Mulligan) does, and maybe Prairieland Herpetoculture. These guys haven't really made a reputation as a good "pet" snake, yet. I wonder if anyone feels they make a good pet?
