There is a picture of one in Dr. Bechtel's book, "Reptile and Amphibian Variants: Colors, Patterns, and Scales", on page 132. Looks kind of like an "extreme" white sided Texas rat, but fits the description of the "piebald" morph in the article you mentioned.
