Emory Rat Snake -- mean?

Hello All!

I am new to this snake thing. The reptile store down the street has an Emory rat snake for sale. It is about (I think) 2 years old. I held it for about 10 minutes and it seemed like the sweetest thing. Anyway, what are the temperment of these snakes? Can they get nasty and mean? Do they have big fangs?
