I've kept as many as 3 black rats in the same cage without problems, but don't go too far on size difference. Had large garter eat a few small gartees many years ago, don't do that anymore. If you keep rats,corns with rats,corns I don't see any problems, keep 'em fed (seperatly) and happy and I think you'll be OK. Don't crowd 'em.
