I love good storys with a happy ending....
A similir escape happened for a friend of mine. He bought a pair of newborn Lampropeltis t. sinaloa and on the way back the male found a hole in the box and was gone. 1½ years later he found it in his garden under a stone. It was about 10 cm BIGGER than the female that he had been feeding all that time. It survived 2 long and cold danish winters and managed to find adequate food items in his garden, and it turned out to be a real knock out.
Maybe I should try opening a few terraria...LOL
