Hi Dan, I find with my Beauty snakes that they don't seem all that interested in high heat. I have 3 Taiwans and 2 Blues. But all of them have hides with moist peat moss at all times. They have never had any problems with shedding since I gave them these hides.
: I have three snakes and have had plenty of successful feeding and sheding experiences, but my newly acquired Taiwan Beauty Snake (one year old)is going through a shed, but 25% of it is not coming off, even after a week. I tried letting him soak in the tub in 90 degree water. He didn't like it and it hasn't seemed to help. I have provided a large bown in his cage which is over the heat pad, providing warm water - not hot. Should I be concerned? I have pulled off what I could, but the remaining skin seems stuck tight. Would appreciate any advice.
