Lets say that I found a total black rat snake.......

Around where i live (kansas) there are many many rat snakes. And of all colors, blues, greens, yellows and blacks. Most of the black rat snakes are the usual...black body, white underbelly, triangle head..but ive had this pair of large 5 feet rat snakes that are totaly black...no white underbelly..no marks what so ever! (pictures coming very very soon) I know this is a rat snake, no doubt, ive had some people at the local high school adn vet check these two out and they ARE rat snakes but iver never seen any with no white under belly..do i have rare rat snakes? Or what? Iv had them for a while now..i just never brought it up untill someone in the herp chat told be that I might have something rare....do I? Pictures are coming very soon! Thanks!
