Question about a grey ratsnake

: Hi there, : I've got a grey ratsnake which is about three years old, I don't know the gender but I think it's a male because of it's size. : He(?) seems to lose weight but only at the head and neck for about 5 cm. On the side the scales are pointing to the side a bit. The rest of the body looks well fed, no sign of weight loss there. He hasn't been eating in the last couple of weeks, two or three. But that has happened before. : Should I become worried or is this something like I want to mate but there's nobody there???? : Thanx : Rik
