: Interested in reading everyone's take on keeping multiple adult ratsnakes together. Specifically Subocs. Thanks
I personally have adult corn's together and a yearling greenish rat with a yearling snow corn. no problems with mine but I know some people have trouble with their snakes when kept together. occasionally one snake will intimidate the other and stress it to the point it won't eat. but if you provide a large enough enclosure I personally don't think there will be any problems just be sure there is enopugh space for them to be apart from each other and plenty of hide boxes. Another concern would be feeding the snakes in the same cage. when I feed my adult corns I remove one to another cage and feed them both and a short time after they have both finished I put the one I removed back in the cage.(same with my yearlings). Be sure you quarantine new animals before putting them together or with you previous snakes. the only other problem I could see is if one snake gets sick or you see a problem with it's stool you don't know which one it is and the ilness could possible infect the other(s) in the same cage.
but it is a personal choice many people keep snakes together. others refuse to do it except for breeding.
Eric
