: Hi, everybody
: Does anyone know what are the ratsnakes native to southern part of Russia. I am planning a trip there later this month and would like to bring few good species. Can anybody suggest an interesting species from there?
So far as I know, only Dione's rat snakes (Elaphe dione) are the only ratnsakes native to much of southern Russia... there are also Russian rat snakes, but they're pretty far east. I remember seeing a Leningrad herp society web page a while ago, so if you find it they might be able to help you.
