In Reply to: Just how aboreal are Taiwan Beauty Snakes, anyway? posted by Steve House on May 05, 2000 at 09:47:26:
These things love to climb and will spend most of there time in the branches. If you put a hide up high in the cage also they may never come down. I house these and my radiateds like this and they love it. they just seem healthier when they are allowed to act normal. I can no longer stand housing my arboreal snakes in short rubbermaids like I did in the past. Looking back it almost seems cruel to me.

: I am wanting to rethink the housing of my 1.4 adult Taiwan Beauty Snakes. Somehow, rubbermaid just doesn't suit their intellegence and temperaments anymore. Would a large enclosure with branches to climb, say 6'l X 4'h X 30"w, be suitable for the whole group together? Would they utilize the upper spaces? Thanks!
