I dont consider myself an expert, but I do keep and breed them. I found that mine generally don't climb, but will rest on top of their nest box inside the enclosure. They grow fast, faster than you might think. There is a pic of my female down below in another post if you want to see her. I brumate mine for breeding; however I've heard of people getting fertile eggs without cooling them. Mine eat at least once a week. If they seem overly active-rubbing the front of the enclosure of crawling around fast and frequent they get a meal sooner than once a week. At 7 and 8 feet I still dont feed large prey items. Mine will eat8-10 mice before eating a rat. Sometimes they just dont feel like rats for dinner, plus their haeds aren't that large.
