Hi Ray. Chinese twin-spots are great. They're one of my favorites. They're small and stocky, very hardly, they never bite, and the price is right, making great pets. They also can be kept just like corns, if wanted. They can be hibernated for up to about four months at cold temps, as low as 50*F, or not hibernated. They seem to come in a variety of colors and patterns for a snake with a limited range. I have breeders that are tan, gray, and dark brown, usually with reddish-brown blotches. But I have one on breeding loan that is very light with two darkish stripes. This one looks partially albino.
This species needs to be protected by the way because of the limited range and amt. of human interaction. Now with the big Changyiang (Yiangze) River project, some of their range will be flooded too. I hope between the several various breeders now that you find what you're looking for. Good luck in the future. T. Cox/Ratsnake Haven.
