Hi Phil
I was keeping and breeding them some years ago. I found them the easiest snake to breed - including red rats, corns, pine snakes and others. A few years after I sold the last pair (3 generation) I started hearing about problems. No one of the people that had bought offspring from me or others had any success at all. They didn`t breed. I still cannot figure that out. At my place they were as steady as a Swiss clock. When the first shedding was over after hibernation the copulated within 2 hours and the eggs came 12 days after the females next shedding.
The only thing I did different from my friends was a colder and longer hibernation. 4-5 month 5-10 degrease Celcius.
Best wishes
