I have a female albino who is not eating right now either. This is NOT NORMAL for her. She shed over a month ago and hasn't taken food yet. She laid eggs 2 years ago and seems to be folowing the same path as she did back then to the date. So, I thought maybe the last shed was the pre-lay shed also but at this point no indication of her laying eggs except that she seems to have a larger area in her body than the rest. At first I was thinking that these may be eggs (eventhough she hasn't been bred) but this mass isn't moving at all. They say a snake can hold sperm for up to 2 years and snakes can also lay unfertilized eggs. I am not sure what is going on with her.

I also have a Rat snake that went through 2 sheds (one right after the other and this is NOT NORMAL for this snake, he doesn't shed often at all) and now he won't eat either. I am pretty sure this snake is a male because I saw him lift his tail and there were 2 pearlish white streams of fluid coming from him. I assumed, not being an expert, that this was sperm. So with this experience I have concluded that it is a male.

Anyway, I have two of them that are not eating right now and this seems strange being its spring time and they weren't bred.

I know I didn't help you with your situation but sometimes its just nice to hear that someone else is having the same difficulty.

Good Luck

Greg

:My female am. albino corn won't eat. I've had her for several years and this is very unusual. She seems heavy around her lower end and because it's that time of the year... I wonder if it's possible she has eggs even though she hasn't been bred? And if so, what should I do? Any help is appreciated! -wewe
