I've already posted this query in the "what kind of snake is this?" forum, but I'll ask you folks too. I just had a snake sent to me on rescue and I'm familiar with most species of boids colubrids, elapids, crotalids....blah blah blah :) I have no idea what this one is. The person called it a "Egyptian Mottled snake." I'm thinking this is the BS pet store name that was attached to it when it was originally for sale at a pet shop. Has anyone ever heard of this common name being thrown around? The snake is definitely a colubrid, close to elaphus, looks like a brindle rat. I'll have a pic to post in a few days. I'm anxious to hear your comments on this...thanks!
