Chlorine in water and asian rat snakes...need help...

I recently lost two of my LTC goynos after they were put into a new cage we built for them. We let the cage sit for about 3 weeks after completion and the wood had been sitting for 2 weeks after polyurethaned it. Shortly thereafter my male died and now my female died yesterday. Anyone with any ideas? Our water is also heavily chlorinated here so I am now switching to bottled water for them just in case thre might be a problem there. I have 1.2 silver goynos left and dont want to risk losing them too. I am just at a loss here. I did save the female to get a necropsy done.
